In the United States, it is apparently Pi day — that is, the 14th March or in the US date format, 3/14. In Australia, Pi day would be 31/4 or the 31st April (a non-existant day). Fitting really given that it is an irrational number. I suggest that perhaps the better day would be the 22nd July or 22/7.

But you do know Pi isn’t 22/7 either?

    Call me a classical approximator.

Another fitting day would be one on which Earth has traveled a distance which can symbolize the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

Ignoring eccentricity, Earth has traveled a distance of 1 radius on February 27, and a distance of 1 diameter on April 26.

As a matter of fact, a mathematician might well nominate:

    February 27, Radian Day
    April 26, Diameter Day
    July 1, Pi Day
    December 31, Two-Pi Day
