Want to suffer for half an hour or more? Then read this New York Times article on recent research by Keith Chen whose fascination with monkey choice I have discussed before. It is all about whether cognitive dissonance (you know, rationalising your past decisions as good regardless of the evidence) has been proved in humans up to monkey logic standards. Chen says no.
