I thought I’d just take a second to note blogs of people I know out there:
- John Quiggin: my occasional co-author
- Kim Weatherall: my IPRIA colleague
- Dan Drezner: my Stanford classmate
- Harry Clarke: La Trobe economist
- Aplia: the folks at aplia.com
All different, all with interesting stuff.
I wonder what motivates otherwise extremely smart people, who are usually very busy, to burden themselves with a personal blog?
Is there a similarity between top coders writing open source software and leading economists writing a blog?
Does Richard Stallman’s “Information wants to be free” also apply in this case?
