End of an era

I have been in Germany the last couple of days. It turns out that I can get around knowing only five German words — thank you, latte, 99, red and balloons. Anyhow, I came across this sign; boy, I remember when they started.

Anyhow, I am now in Sweden where I will see if I can get buy with only two Swedish words — bookcase and sidetable.

  1. ‘Farewell tour’ has a very imprecise meaning! Don’t forget that The Eagles have been doing farewell tours since at least 2004 (they even number them now), and John Farnham has been touring and recording steadily since doing his ‘The Last Time’ tour in 2002. Something to do with scarcity…
